Hi,
I have a Sharepoint List with:
Date ( in date format)
Measure 1
Measure 2
Measure 3
The date is put in each month as Month/01/Year
So you have row:
Date, Measure 1, Measure 2, Measure 3
I have been using Tableau (but switching to BI)
and with it you can drag the date as a dimension and than the rest of the measures as Rows so you have:
(taking the date as a year)
2007 2008 2009
Measure 1
Measure 2
I am at a loss how to do this in Power BI and I must be not searching the correct terms. Any pointers would be much appreciated.

In Power BI, you can't have both measures appear in Row Group simultaneously. We can only put both of them into Value pane, then it will show corresponding values sliced by Date Hierarchy under Column Group.

You will want to use a Matrix and put your date in the Columns area. Depending on what you really want, you may need to use the disconnected table method to get what you really want. That method is described here:
