Sharepoint Online List Column ID shows upside down once import in my PowerBi

Hi,

I have a list in my sharepoint list with the divisions name & the divisions key in another column. I normally use this table as a lookup table. I have created another sharepoint list where I enter my values (number of employees). In this new table, I have created new columns using Lookup and adding both the divisions names & the key.

At this point, everything works.

When I import those list in my PowerBi, my lookup table is fine. However, the other one has the column key upside down.

Instead of having 1,2,3,4,5,6,7..., I have 7,6,5,4,3,2,1.

Have you ever encoutered a similar issue and know how to solve it?

Thank you,

@Anonymous , have done any sort in edit query mode or data view mode. Ideally, it comes in order.

@Anonymous - Are you referring to the sort order in which the data comes in?

@Greg_Deckler  No,

Example

Sharepoint List

Division        ID        Male           Female

Calgary         1           200            400

Edmonton    2           600             800

Vancouver    3           1100           1200

PowerQuery

ID        Male           Female

 3           200            400

 2           600             800

1          1100           1200

By creating a lookup column in my sharepoint online list, the first one (division) does not appear. Only the second one selected (see picture)

@Anonymous - That's extremely odd, I'm not sure what to think about that.

@Greg_Deckler same...

I workaround this be replacing values 15 for 1, 14 for 2, etc... Not really good, but it will work for now.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You may check the steps in Power Query.

If you have a Pro account. You could open a support ticket.

https://support.powerbi.com.

As a workaround you may sort ids in descending order and add index column.

Best Regards,

Jay
