Hi,
I got my Power BI connected with a Sharepoint List which contains employee data including some date fields. Now comes the weird thing.
The sharepoint list item got e.g. a date 03/11/2008 and in Power BI it shows up as 02/11/2008. Our server is based in the US and I am accessing the data from Austria.
Does Power BI really consider time zones for date and time fields? What am I doing wrong?
thanks.
Same issue here. Any solutions so far?
Hi , I have the same issue , is there a solution ? Thanks
Hi @cmoosbrugger,
Please share the information of the time zone for SharePoint site and the machine which has Power BI desktop run on.
In the SharePoint list, is it Date value or Date Time value? Please share the screenshots about the list data both in SharePoint and Desktop.
Best Regards,
QiuyunYu
Hi @v-qiuyu-msft,
my field in sharepoint is a Date picker not a Date/time picker.
Meanwhile I found a workaround here (the post from @JamesCook) which works so far but it is a bummer Power BI cannot handle this right away.
I tried to use different time zone for my site collection but this does not change anything. Power BI is always getting the time as well.
let me know if there are news nd PowerBI improved in this regards.
