Shape map = Address undefined

Hello!

Please help me with one issue i dont't understand what the problem is.

Purpose: to display the number of points in the created areas.

I have one problem so far: there are no addresses (test areas are shown on the screenshot)

2.JPG

I use the addresses as follows:

55.72744,37.57061

55.74155,37.74000

Москва, Мира пр. 119 стр.101

Москва, Мира пр. 119 стр.101

Москва, Варшавское шоссе 95  кор. 1

55.61895,37.41114

55.83734,37.54915

55.80447,37.59033

55.75197,37.69784

55.60900,38.14069

Москва, Дубнинская 22к3

I've tried all the methods that I found, but the problem did not dare.

Creating districts begins with QGIS.

1) I open the map

3.JPG

2) I connect the coordinate system. I tried different, here are a few of them:

  • EPSG:4326 WGS 84
  • EPSG:4283 GDA94
  • Project CRS: EPSG:4326 - WGS 84
  • GCS_WGS_1984_Major_Auxiliary_Sphere / WGS_1984_Equal_Earth_Asia_Pacificи т.д.

Further for an example I will apply EPSG: 4326 WGS 84

WGS 84

WKT

GEODCRS["WGS 84",
    DATUM["World Geodetic System 1984",
        ELLIPSOID["WGS 84",6378137,298.257223563,
            LENGTHUNIT["metre",1]]],
    PRIMEM["Greenwich",0,
        ANGLEUNIT["degree",0.0174532925199433]],
    CS[ellipsoidal,2],
        AXIS["geodetic latitude (Lat)",north,
            ORDER[1],
            ANGLEUNIT["degree",0.0174532925199433]],
        AXIS["geodetic longitude (Lon)",east,
            ORDER[2],
            ANGLEUNIT["degree",0.0174532925199433]],
    AREA["World"],
    BBOX[-90,-180,90,180],
    ID["EPSG",4326]]

Proj4

+proj=longlat +datum=WGS84 +no_defs

охват (extent)

-180.00, -90.00, 180.00, 90.00

Option 1:

I create a Shapefile, draw areas and save the files for conversion.

4.jpg

At https://mapshaper.org/, I upload files and convert to Json format.

5.jpg

Result in Power Bi:

6.jpg

Option 2

Saving as GeoJSON with a different coordinate system.

7.jpg

And then, on the site https://mapshaper.org/ I upload files and convert to Json format.

The result is be the same as in option 1.

Thanks!

Hi, @Log_04

I'd like to suggest you take a look at official document about how to use custom topojson data to make a custom shape map region.

Create Shape Map visualizations in Power BI Desktop

Morever, there are no addresses if Power BI can't identify the imported data. Maybe your data isn't suitable for data structure which shape map visual requires.

Best Regards

Allan

Too bad Power bi is so limited so far.

"Create a Shape Map visual to compare regions on a map using color. Unlike the Map visual, Shape Map can't show precise geographical locations of data points on a map. Instead, its main purpose is to show relative comparisons of regions on a map by coloring them differently."
