Shape Map Resetting when Hidden Using Bookmarks

In order to save space on the canvas I'm using bookmarks to hide several slicers.  I've unchecked the data option for both of my bookmarks that bring up the slicer panel and hide the slicer panel.  All my slicers maintain their selection through opening/hiding except for the Shape Map, which resets its selection upon hiding the slicer panel.

Had anyone else experienced this issue?  My workaround would be to include the names of provinces as new slicer and get rid of the Shape Map but I really liked having the visual of the Shape Map.
