Set up an Alerts for Customers through the portal

Do power BI supports the alerts facility for end users?
We have embedded reports on our portal and from there our individual customers are getting insights. Now few of them requesting an alert for their items when it reaches to certain quantity. I am aware of dashboard alerts but not sure how would it work for embedded reports.

Thank you for your response @lbendlin. Would it be possible for you to provide me more details on this? I might be wrong but as far as I understood, we can create a our own alert and subscription component using our front-end resources?

If this is an Embedded setup ("App owns Data"  for example) then your own app can handle these subscriptions and alerts.

The link you previously provided seems to provide a way to set alerts for a Power BI Embedded capacity in Azure to trigger in the event your capacity metrics exceed a certain value. For example, if embedded capacity CPU exceeds 75%. Along with many others on this forum, I would really like to explore an option to surface data driven alerts for end users in an app-owns data embed scenario. Ideally, the end user could interact with a dashboard item or report visual, and select an option to define a report. The alert delivery, and alert criteria would likely need to be handled with custom development, but if there was a way to programmatically get dashboard tile values, this would be doable. Added bonus if it could be done with effective identity.

Have a look at the new Data Activator features in Fabric.
