Set default number format locale? (K for thousands, M for millions etc)

Is there anyway to force the default locale format for thousands/millions/etc?

I'm developing the report in PBI Desktop (set to en-US), with my measures set to the "General" formatting option.

The KPI cards are nicely spaced out and everything is tested to look neat with "K" for thousands, "M" for millions, etc.

However, when I publish it to PBI Service, the format seems to be overridden by the users language/locale settings. Here is the same visual but from the perspective of a user using pt-BR:

They see "Mil" instead of "K", which also ruins the visual by overlapping with the icon image.

Is there any way to force the display of "K" and "M" for thousands and millions without losing the "General" settings for the measures?

I assume this is possible with some DAX magic, but is there any setting I can change to achieve this?

Hey,

unfortunately, you can't do this, but maybe the custom number format feature can be of any help:

Thanks Tom,

For now I guess I'll just resize the objects to account for this.
