Set Measure above column headers rather than below (which is the usual way to work in a matrix)

Hi Dears,

As in an Excel Pivot table, I would like to set measures as column headers.

I have two measures :

  • MTD actuals
  • YTD actuals

I can easily do a matrix as such, which is the basic and usual way of using a matrix in PB :

Column field :         Company 1                                            Company 2                                              Company 3

Measure  :               MTD actuals     YTD actuals                   MTD actuals     YTD actuals                     MTD actuals     YTD actuals

Turnover                  30                       90                                   20                       62                                     10                       33

But I would like :

Measure  :               MTD actuals                                                                        YTD actuals

Column field :         Company 1        Company 2        Company 3                     Company 1        Company 2        Company 3

Turnover :               30                       20                      10                                    90                      62                       33

Question : is there an easy way to do this ? Without creating new tables I mean ?

My work around is to do two separate visuals (one for each measure) but it is not what I am looking for.

Sincerely,

Damien

Hi @DamienBrux ,

To my knowledge, your requirement could not be realized currently.

But this is at idea/feedback level alone. May be , hopes Power Bi will implement this in nearby future.

If you also want this in power bi, let the power bi community know this thing, please publish your idea on the Power BI website -https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/

Best Regards,
