See multiple slicer selections in PPT/PDF export

Hi,

When I export my PBI report from the service to a PPT, I can't see what selections have been chosen in the drop down slicers.  It just says 'Multiple selections'.

I don't want to change it from drop down slicer to List as there are lots of slicers and limited room.

Can anyone please suggest a way to make all the slicer selections visible when the report is exported?  The managers that use my reports are getting annoyed with having to create a text box for each page and type in there what was chosen in all the slicers. Smiley Tongue

I had an idea to use a Multi-row card that contains the same field as each slicer, and tuck them at the bottom of the page and use a small font.  Or a normal card with DAX that contains all selected values as per this page. These ideas still take a lot of room though.

Any ideas to get this info on the page without taking a lot of room would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey,

unfortunately there is nothing like a visual that adjusts its dimensions to the number of elements selected. For this we have to treat the available screen estate very carefully, maybe this might be a good idea: a combination of a "fly-out slicer panel" (described in this article: https://exceleratorbi.com.au/create-a-power-bi-slicer-panel/ by @MattAllington ),  combined with this measure here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Quick-Measures-Gallery/Dynamic-Title/td-p/196974 by @Phil_Seamark

Another approach could be to use the Smart Filter visual that you can find here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Quick-Measures-Gallery/Dynamic-Title/td-p/196974

Hopefully this provides you with some ideas.

Regards,

Tom
