Search text within drop down filter

Hi All , We have a slicer for a report on country/cities . We want to be able to give user the option to enter few letters of the city/country filter so they can quickly locate it rather than scrolling all the way down for a slicer with 30-40 values. Ex- If user wants to locate city - 'Zurich' he will have to scroll down a long list to check on the city. Rather on typing 'zu' in the same filter zurich should filter out . Is this possible? I checked on 'text Filter' but that will not give a dropdown list , I want both - A search within a drop down list as the list is too long. Thanks In Advance.

Hi Adiuser,

Yes, you can do this within the Slicer visual.

If you click the elipsis (three dots) in the top-right corner, you'll get a menu to search and you can do exactly what you're asking.

Thanks

Hi

can this be done for numeric value filters as

123456

645355

543423

989877

I tried applying the same method and it does not show up.

Thanks in advance

For any future reference since it's not reported here.

The search option only works if the column is formatted as text.

Do you know if it is possible to change the background color of the search?
