Search based on ID

Hi,

First of all before I start, I'd like to say this issue is ridiculous and shouldn't be a thing. The devs really need to get it together.

So as the topic heading implies I'm looking for a way or componentry to search (by typing in the numbers) for an numeric ID in a table with ONLY exact matching. I've tried Microsofts Text search component (It uses contains), I've tried the free versions of okvis etc. All have functionalities and downfalls (need to pay money to paste into the field??) I don't need. I've tried converting the column to text and using the search option in the text slicer (Once again the component isnt what i want plus its also a contains search).

This is something ridiculously simple and is provided in so many different ways but not to the extremely simple specification that I need.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can use 'Tile Search Slicer by TME AG' and 'Smart Filter PRO by OKVIZ' to use their search feature without buying pro licence.

@Anonymous

So a slicer using 'Between' isn't what you are after?  You haven't specified if you are looking for a single number or a series of numbers.

Hi @Anonymous

Do you want to do this as part of a visual/report? It's not clear.

In both Power Query and the Data Model, you can use the filter button at the top of the column to search for numbers like this.
