Sclicer month order

Hi

I used a sclicer for month column and the values are in below table

feb2020

mar2019

may2020

sept2019

and it is getteting alphabetical ordered but i need to get the values by year wise as shown below

mar2019

sept2019

feb2020

mar2020

How to achive the above order.

Two ways around it - simplest one is to use a proper date field, then configure the hierarchy to show just the month in your slicer, the more complicated one is to make a table that lists all your text-based month values, and then have a column counting up from 1 to whatever number in the order you want, then order the month column by the numerical column
