Schedule refresh old Excel with New download file that have same data structure

Hi all , I want to ask question about :  is it possible to schedule refresh data  by replace old excel file with new  downloaded  excel file.

The scenario is :

Hi @firstch ,

1. One way to do this is to rename the latest excel file to replace the old one (Data-b to Data-a) without changing the dataset and without reconfiguring the credentials.

2. If you are using SharePoint Online Folder connector to connect to excel file, then when you change the excel file name of the data source in Desktop and re-publish it, there is no need to reconfigure the credentials.

So you can change the data source using the query parameter and then change the parameter value on the Service manually or automatically(using Power BI Rest API + Power Automate) every time the excel file is updated.
