Scatter Chart: custom visual question

Hello,

The Scatter Chart within Power BI has a nice feature where, if you add a slicer to your chart, each time you select a slicer option the bubble markers will "slide" around the graph, assuming the same data is plotted from one slice to the next. I'm not sure what this particular feature is called.

My question: I've created a customized scatter chart using PBIVIZ that I'm generally happy with. However, when I add a slicer, there's no bubble "sliding"--it looks like a new chart is generated each time a slicer selection is chosen, even though my data points are just moving around the chart for each slice selection.

Is this "sliding" feature a possibility for customized scatter charts? If so, where would I edit / add this functionality within the PBIVIZ package I've created?  I've looked at both the "properties" and "capabilities" files, but nothing seems terribly obvious to me in terms of what I ought to add or alter. Help?

Thanks!

@keknight,

Do you use the enhanced scatter custom visual? If so, I didn't see any differences when using slicer to filter the built-in scatter chart and enhanced scatter chart, could you please post screenshots about your scenario?

Additionally, if you need to modify the enhanced scatter custom visual, you can get the code from GitHub: https://github.com/Microsoft/PowerBI-visuals-enhancedscatter.

No I'm not using the enhanced scatter. I'm using my own custom R visual that I created using the pbiviz library (https://github.com/Microsoft/PowerBI-visuals/blob/master/RVisualTutorial/CreateRHTML.md). I have a particular need that the other available scatter charts don't meet, so I needed to create my own.

It's not clear to me where I can alter the behavior of the datapoints when using a slicer with my customized visualization. A screenshot won't help: it's when moving from one "slice" to the next that I'm asking about. If anyone has any info about this, I'd be grateful.
