Scatter Chart concatenation of labels in drill-down can't be disabled

When drilling down in a scatter chart, the labels are concatenating so that the parent label precedes the child label in the drill-down. this makes drill-downs very sloppy especially when the parent label is long

Concatention can be switched-off in the Axes setting for Stacked Colume charts etc : this option doesn't appear in the axes configs for scatter charts

I have tried changing the chart type to Stacked Bar and then switching off concatentation then switching back to scatter but this doesn't inherit the settings

I cant be alone in having this problem and scatter /bubble plots are very key strategic tools

Any suggestions ? Example screen shots attached: the second image shows the drill-down view with preceding parent label which obscures the child labels making it usesless for users
