Save desktop file not working

Using the March 2020 version "Version: 2.79.5768.721 64-bit (March 2020)"

I click File Save, AND/OR click the save diskette symbol at the top left, then click the X at top right to close Power BI desktop, and it always says "Do you want to save your changes?"

Does this mean...

(a) the save worked, but the X always asks about saving anyway

OR

(b) the save didn't work and the X is picking up that there are unsaved changes??

Hi @rbbi ,

I have tested the scenario in my environment but it seems normal. When you do any changes in power bi desktop, it will always remind you whether to save it. Regardless of which save option you clicked, it should save the currently status of this file. Maybe you can reinstall or download previous version of power bi desktop(https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-latest-update-archive) to try again or you can submit this issue to https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues to make it solved quickly.

Best Regards,

Yingjie Li
