Hi Everyone
I'm doing a small report with Power BI desktop and I'm using Odata from Project Online
I sent the report to a colleague to get his feedback but when he tries to refresh the data, he has to enter his own account and password
Is there a way to store my credentials in the odata connection?
The final idea would be to ask to the IT team to create a generic account which could connect to the data
Thank you for your help
Kind regards

Hi @Anonymous ,
According to my test, if you share your PBIX file with other users, when they refresh the report, they will be asked to reenter the credentials.
If you publish this report online in the Power BI Service, you need set credentials for dataset. Other users don't need reenter the credentials. If you want to share with guest users, please refer to Distribute Power BI content to external guest users with Azure AD B2B .
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

Winniz

If I don't share it via Power BI Services
The issue could be if someone external from the organization get this report
he would be able to open it and refresh the data, right?

@Anonymous , Ask the IT team to create a generic id, that would be better.
Ideally you should share on power bi service
