SamePeriodLastYear broken out by Market

I am using sameperiodlastyear to calculate the total volume produced last year for the associated market. however in the matrix screenshot below i am getting the correcr grand total but the breakout for the market is missing. Am I using the wrong formula?

CALCULATE([MTD Service Volume],SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR('Date'[Date]))

I have a slicer with date filter between 5/1/2021 to 5/31/2021. I am using the matrix visualization and in columns i am splitting based on Markets from a dim table.

Hi,

In the slicer, ensure that you have selected a Year and Month from the Date Table.
