Same Visualizations, Different Data, For Every User

I'm not sure if this post is in the right place (as it is a question about Power BI in general I think).

Is it possible to have one set of visualizations on a web app that every user is able to use/see, but the actual data that populates them will be specific to the user? i.e. same graphs, different data, for everyone. Thanks.

Are you talking about internal or external users?

We have SSAS and roles on the cube, when user access these graph, it shows different data depends on their roles/permission on the cube.

External users. So I build the web app that hosts the Power BI visualizations/graphs (through Embedded or maybe something else?), and then import the data by user. The data would then be used to populate the visualizations/graphs.

Thanks for the response. I'm not familiar with SSAS, but would that allow external users to be invovled?

@bobby97

You don't have to get a SSAS data source. I assume you already have a UserInfo table.

You just need to create a role and add row level filter based on USERNAME().

Then add those users in Row Level Security.

Regards,

Thanks for clarifying that you are using embedded, I worked briefly on it and worked great. Here is LINK for more information on RLS in Embedded.

Curious, what is your data source?
