I am struggling to get the 2020 prior year per month figures in yellow cell fill (column E) in the bottom left table to to equal the 2019 current year per month figures in blue fill (column D) in the top left table.
I did manage to get the 2020 prior year total figure to equal the 2019 current year figure ( 1 111 026 844.07 )
Where I use the calendar month period, everything works out. Per month and year total.
The measure for Same Month Last Year =
Gross Written Premium - Same Month Last Year DT FD DATEADD:=
CALCULATE ( [Gross Written Premium],
DATEADD (DIM_Time[FullDate], -1, YEAR)
)
Can somebody help me?
@AllisonKennedy @Ashish_Mathur @amitchandak @Greg_Deckler - I have seen related posts by you, but not where the reportingmonths are different each month (current year months and prior year months) - could you possibly assist with a solution?
@Greg_Deckler - could you perhaps help? It seems my situation is complicated because reportingmonths are different each month (current year months and prior year months).
could you apply your post TITHW as a solution?
hi @amitchandak
No, the the reportingmonth periods (reportingdatestart and reportingdateend) are not the same each year.
@Anonymous , do the reporting start date and reporting end date have the same value for a prior year too?
