Was wondering if anyone who might be familiar with Salesforce Object models, might be able to point me in the right direction on how to achieve this?
@simonGIS its been a while I worked in SF, used to be a SF admin and worked quite a bit on it. If not wrong there should be 18 digit opportunity Id in tasks object which let you create relationship with opportunity id in opportunity table.
Are you connecting to a SF report or SF object, if you are conneccting to a report, may be these reports are not having those Id columns and you are not seeing it in Power BI, either update report in SF and Ids or connect directly to SF object.
Hope this helps. Would appreciate Kudos 🙂 if my solution helped.
