SUPER CHALLENGE : (SOS) Net Inventory Rollover dax formula (cumulative total)

I made two mock up but not able to load the file,

I took 2 screenshots, bacially the start of month for May AS Start of May

Formula (FOR MAY ONLY) :

Start of Month = CALCULATE(SUMX('Product A','Product A'[ KG]),STARTOFMONTH('Product '[Invoice_Date]))

Then here comes to the JUNE (JULY.AUG) Start of month, it will need to use the NET from the perious month.

As well as stay whatever May already is.

Formula for NET (to roll over) :

Net = [sum of Product A through the month]+[Start of Month]-'Product B'[KG]

Please take a look and share if you have any ideas, code, formulas that can help acheive this step.

Thanks in advance.!!! Basiclly, it will need whatever start of Month for may stays, then starting June, use the net to be the new "may" (start of month).

Let me know if I didn't explain it well or you have questions! THANKS!Data.PNGResult.PNG

HI  @RachelJye

The two formulas (Start of Month and NET) are nested within each other, so i think it is very difficult to achieve in dax.

you try to get it in datasource.

Thanks Lin,

however, product A and B are in two different tables on the query level, so I am not sure how to make the cross table calculation in query editior.

hi  @RachelJye

I think it's better do it in datasouce, in dax or power query is very difficult to get it.
