SUM of Columns

I have the same query running on multiple servers. In some cases it shows the individual numeric responses. In other cases it sums the response. Why is there a difference and how do I set the columns to sum?

Hi @jmiridium,

You need to verify if same columns have the same data type defined in multiple servers. After you get data in Power BI desktop, you can change data type to number then it's able to sum. See: Data types in Power BI Desktop.

They all have the same data types

Hi @jmiridium,

After import data to desktop, can you change the data type and get the same results?

Again. This is the same query. But different results listed in the column. one server has sum already in place, the other doesn't. What is the difference? How do I sum it in the column?

In fact, one will show the number accurately as a percentage, the other doesn't

In fact, the difference in results is making PowerBI unreliable in this case
