Hello,
I added format string to show 0 for null values in SSAS MD Cube and it is working fine if I run the MDX query but in Power BI it doesnt show 0 for null values, wondering if this functionality is not available?
Thanks,
P

You could try creating another column with formula:
= IF(ISBLANK([ColumnName]),"0",[ColumnName])
You can't do this if you're in Direct Query mode which I need as my data set is too large for import.
Thanks for the reply. I know the solution you provided will work but is it a best practice? Question here is, does Power BI support null value format of format string.
At the same time format string for regular numbers works fine but not for null value.

Perhaps create a caluclated measure in your MD Cube. The forumula for the new meausre can test if the value is null and then return a 0. That way you aren't relying on Power BI to take notice of the format_string directive. I've found that it's a bit hit and miss.
something like....
CREATE MEMBER CURRENTCUBE.[Measures].[My New Measure] AS NULL;
SCOPE ([My New Measure]);
this = IIF([my existing measure] = null , 0 , [my existing measure] );
END SCOPE;
SO far I decided not to create any formula to achieve this, only issue is that PowerBI will show blank value instead of Zero. I hope future releases will have this fix.
Appreciate you guys input/feedback.
Thanks,
