Hi all,
I have a SQL query that when I load into PQ untouched is showing different results then what SSMS is showing. Is there a setting or something simple causing this?

Try to reinstalling PBI.This solution comes from the same problem in the link.
And you could refer the below:
@Anonymous , power query shows sample 1000 record. Order can be different but should show them correctly.
If you have more than 1000 records. check in data view.
If less than that, then check for any datatype issue or error rows
@amitchandak as a test i limited the sql query to 2 records and when I put the same query in powerbi only one of the records populate
