SQL Database Size Growth Monitoring

Hi, Everyone.

I'm new to these technologies(SQL and PowerBI). I hope you could help me.

I'm want to store my database sizes growth in a monthly basis. I now have the query to sys.master_files to my server.  However I'm not allowed to create a table in the said server. I'm planning to store the data in the PowerBI instead.

Hi @jzone ,

Based on my understanding, you don't have write access to source DB, you want to directly store the monthly changed data into Power BI desktop, right? I'm afraid this is not achievable. But you could try to store the monthly data into local files like Excel worksheet, then, fetch data from files in desktop.

Best regards,

Yuliana Gu
