I am able to connect to my SQL database when in office, and on network. Recently, trying to connect via VPN I am receiving the message below. While I see other threads in the forum with similar concerns, there really isn't a solution that I can find.
Details: "Microsoft SQL: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server"
Any thoughts?
HI irnm8dn,
Have you solved your issue by now? Could you kindly mark my answer?

Hi irnm8dn,
The issued should be occured by the VPN connection, is the VPN proxy server in same domain of your organization? Does your organization network allow external network connection? In addtion, you can try changing VPN server address and check if this error still occurs.
