Hi - I'm trying to use a SAP Business Warehouse datasource. It works fine in Query Editor, and data is brought into the preview as expected, but when I apply and it tried to load I get an Object reference not set to an instance of an object error.
I am using Power BI Desktop (Sept 21) with the SAP .NET connector 3.0.21.0.
Hi @rack201 ,
First make sure you are using the correct connector.
Use the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) Connector in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
Power BI does not support many of the features of SAP BW, and due to the nature of the SAP BW public interface, there are important situations where the results seen through Power BI will not be the same as those seen when using SAP tools.
DirectQuery and SAP Business Warehouse (BW) in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
Or you can update your Power BI Desktop to the latest version and try again? Power BI Desktop (Sept 21) is old.
Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center

@rack201 , refer if old issues can help
I have checked those. One is unresolved, one is using the SQL connector (not SAP) and one doesn't seem to be even able to connect to the SAP BW server whereas I am able to do so and see data in the Query editor.
