Rows not appearing in Power BI

Hello,

By chance, I found that some of the rows in my dataset are not appearing in Power BI Desktop when importing the data file. I tried to create a new report and imported the file to ensure no filters were selected. Still, when searching for the unique value in that row, I was still not able to find it.

What can be causing this?

There is a total of 138.935 rows in the dataset, so it should not be the size that are causing this. All rows have a unique value in the column for which I tried to filter.

@SHS , Open power query/transform data and check for any error. if there is any an error or data type try to fix it by changing the data type.

Hi,

I assume you are checking in PowerBI desktop after loading data instead of Power Query Editor. Also, Kindly check is there any error message you have got while importing data.

If you get error message, then please go to Power Query Editor and check not loaded records on the top left corner.

Appreciate a Kudos! 🙂
If this helps and resolves the issue, please mark it as a Solution! 🙂

Hi @nvprasad ,

Thank you for your quick support. However, sadly, it didn't help me find the issue. Though I have some errors in the dataset, which is okay based on the cells that are identified as errors, it was not related to the row or column value. At least, I was not able to find the value in the error query, when searching in the column.

Any other ideas, how I can detect the cause?

Note to this: When I make a count of the values in that column it shows 138.934 (header excluded). So it seems like the full dataset has been imported. But why is it then not possible to find the specific value?
