Row Number on Table(Visual)

I want to show row numbers on any Table Visual, just like in excel row number.

Hi @sajidmansoorali ,

 

Go to Edit Queris --> Add Column tab -- > index column -->From 1 

this will add index column and change data type to Whole Number .

Go to report add this index column.

The matrix and table visuals simply does not currently offer a dynamic row number. But if you happen to know that your table or matrix always will be sorted the same way, you can create ranking measure that will be able to act as a dynamic row number. 

This will only work if the sorting direction and column remains the same, but should work with slicers if you adapt the code correctly. There are methods to prevent the user from changing sorting column and direction, so if combined it could prove to be a good solution. 

I've attached a file as an example.
