Return true if column from one table matches value with same column in another table

I have two tables, This year's Data, and Last Year's Data

They both have a column "Contact Ref."

I need to create a column that will return false if this year's contact ref is not present in last year's contact ref column.

The main goal is to get a count of the number of contacts that are in this year's data from last year (retained).

How would i do this please? Thanks so much.

You could add a column to this years data like

Present Last Year = 'Data'[Contact ref] IN VALUES( 'Last Year Data'[Contact ref])
