Hi,
Is there a way to force the selection of an item (say a month) on a visual, so that other linked visuals show the information for this selection by default? In the sample graph below, clicking a month bar shows the proper data (which is the monthly variance of sales, as well of total sales monthly) in the Table visual. But when no months are selected, then the information in the Table visual is cumulative and makes no sense. Just wondering if with DAX or other, it's possible to ensure that a bar is already selected when first accessing the report. And secondarily, perhaps forcing to click another bar, but not leaving the option to have nothing selected. Thanks!
Hi @ebeauchamp
It is impossible in current version.
You could submit an idea in Idea forum.
@ebeauchamp I dont think that is possible, not sure what cummulative total your mentioning in the table, I'm sure that is a measure and calculation on that measure can be different based on selection and that might be the solution in this case.
