I am in in a company which imports and sells products.
I have built quite a comprehensive Sales Dashboard, with Dashboard, high level summaries and detailed reports, about 10 pages in all, but may need to expand further.
I am now at a stage where our CFO wants me to restrict information to different areas of the business, e.g sales teams only get access to their region's data, which I know I can implement through RLS.
However, my issue is that I also want to restrict which pages of the Sales Dashboard I receive; e.g. the MD gets dashboards only, team leaders receive only dashboard and high level summaries and finance receive the whole pack.
I have read through the Community pages, which says the latter is possible, but will leave blank pages in the report. Although it resolves the issue, it looks very inelegant and unprofessional, and I doubt the MD really wants to see 2 pages of dashboards and 8 blank pages.
Is there any way to do this so that the reports provided only show the report pages required for each level?
Also, is there a way of only showing certain parts of an individual report e.g. for my product managers, I only want to show them quantities of products being sold and their GP%, but not the revenue earnt?
