We are looking into allowing end users to create reports. However, we would like prevent them from using data that has not been reviewed and evaluated for accuracy. The main thing we are trying to avoid is having end users create their own versions of defined business logic formulas, filter data and then create Power BI reports with numbers that conflict with existing reports.
Is there any way to set up security so that when certain users click on "Get Data" the only option that they have is to use existing Power BI datasets? (highlighted below)
Any help and advice would be much appreciated!

Hi @jess_v,
Unfortunately, it is not supported to set Power BI datasets as a single option when get data. For only connecting certified datasets, I don't think there are workarounds. They can connect multiple data sources in Power BI Desktop and are not restricted. Maybe you could submit your request to Ideas and vote it up to get fixed quickly.
Best Regards,
Xue Ding
