Restore the Months format

Hi everyone,

In the imported file (Excel) I have a column for Months (January, February..) but once on Power BI I got a column with numbers (Ex : 44013). Do you have any idea of what should I do to convert it?

Thank you in advance.

Fatima

If the data type is number in powerbi, you can just change it to date type (It won't work if it's text type).

A date in Excel is stored as a number so I presume it will convert to the 1st day of the month - You can then decide to keep that or return just the month

The  data type in pbi is Text ! while in Excel is Date. I really don't understand why it does convert once uploaded on PowerBI ..
