Respect invisible leading characters in slicers

Hi,

Is there an invisible character that a dropdown slicer will respect when that character is the leading character? I do not want to use the hierarchy slicer for privacy reasons.

Thanks

Was there any resolution on this? I'm trying to do the same thing and having the same issue.

Hi,

No, but the current slicer will allow you to do this now without any need for workarounds. Simply drag the relevant dimension attributes into the values of the slicer visualization in the order you would like.

Hi impeterlarsen,

Did you mean you want to show slicer hierarchy based on leading characters, right? As I know, you need to use hierarchy slicer to achieve this. Or you could submit this requirement on Power BI Ideas.

Hi,

No, I want to use an invisible character to create an indent on the lines of the slicer, thereby creating a simpel hierarchy-like slicer. But, the Power BI drop down slicer is removing the characters that we have tried to use to create the indent. We have tried SPACE and TAB but they are both removed by Power BI. Do you know of a character that creates an indent that is not removed by Power BI?

Thanks
