Resource Rate Changes not Reflect in the Power BI Reports

Hello everyone,

I am new to the Power BI. I have two quesitons around the changes of resource rates.

1. The Power BI files that I am working on is connected to the OData source in cloud. I have updated a series of resource rates in project online, in which I was expecting the costing for all live projects will change accordingly in the Power BI reports after I refreshed the datasets. However, all the reports with related costing (project planned / actual costs) are still showing figures as calculated with the old resource rates. When I went into the project plans, the actual/ planned cost column are showing the figures calculated based on the new rates. Is there anything I missed in order to push the update through so that the reports will reflect the changes on rates?

2. After implementing the new resource rates, is it possible to update the baseline cost without changing the original hours ? if not, is there anyway to calculate the baseline costs using the new resource rates?

That would be a great help if there is any advice/ answer on the above!! Thank you so much!!

Hi @HilaryC ,

Are you saying the dataset was refreshed but the report wasn't?

If so, try click the refresh button manually.

Hi @v-jayw-msft ,

Thanks for your advice. I realised that all related projects need to be published again then they will be showing the new rate (even I have refreshed the datasets)

Thank you for your help!

Regards,

Hilary
