Represent value in Milions in a Bar Chart + Represent % from a different value (not from the total)

Hello everyone 🙂

I have this dataset (values in Milions):

DIMFix CostLiberadoReplanificadoImputadoCAPA %
A25,032,020,07,128%
B22,055,072,013,662%
C45,062,092,019,042%
D44,087,041,016,838%
E56,055,022,08,816%
F41,011,025,010,826%
G68,022,07,04,97%
H88,088,02,02,02%
I55,044,07,03,16%
J11,077,05,01,514%
K33,087,05,01,44%
M11,098,02,01,715%

And so, my client needs to see in a chart the values (columns) in Millions and in the same time the % of that value, but not from the total of the other values (columns added) in Millions; he wants to see the % of the value from another different value that is in another (single) column. For instance, something like this:

Captura1.PNG

I was trying several options with other kinds of visuals (like the lineStackedColumnComboChart) but it doesn't work:

Captura3.PNG

Also, he told me that the option to put 2 charts separatelly is not usefull for him (one with values and another one with % from the Fix Cost column).

Could anyone help me to figure out if there's a way to do it, please? I'll appreciate it a lot 🙂

Thanks and kind regards,

Ana M.

Hello,

Thanks for your answer, but I'm afraid to say that this is not what I need.

This is my dataset.

DIMFIXLIBREPIMP
A2512167
B87182313
C4592219
D4471516
E5610198
F6223214

What I need to represent is a chart where it shows several columns in Millions (LIB, REP, IMP) and, at the same bars or chart, the % of the columns (LIB, REP, IMP) from another different column (FIX). For instance for A:

% LIB (A) = LIB/FIX * 100 = 48%

% REP (A) = REP/FIX * 100 = 64%

% IMP (A) = IMP/FIX * 100 = 28%

This means that the data label of each bar shows 2 values: one in millions and another one in %. For example, something like this:

Please if you kindly bring a solution it helped me more if you use my same dataset, so I can understand the solution properly.

Thank you so much for your help 🙂

Kind regards,

Ana M.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Now Power BI does not support show a value and percentage at the same time in th bar chart. But you can put them in the table as a text type like I have provided.

Or you can vote here.

Provide Value and Percentage show option in Bar Chart

Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on my test, we will need to create a calculated column in the original table and make the values in the calculated column display as 100 000 ( 88.15%) format.

Create two columns.

SumBytype = CALCULATE(SUM([Column3]), ALLEXCEPT(Table3, Table3[Type]))
Lastcolumn = Table3[Column3] & "("  & ((Divide(Table3[Column3],Table3[SumBytype]))*100 & "%") &  ")"

Please note that after creating the calculated column, we can only drag it into Table visual in order to show the values properly(as shown in the following screenshot). As the calculated column is text type, in other visuals, it will be counted.

Or you can create tooltips.

Customize tooltips in Power BI

Or you can create an idea here.

If I have misunderstood your meaning, please provide more details.
