Reporting Trends Over Time

Hello,

As of now my team is using a Power BI to look into ticket work flow on a daily basis. This is useful, however we have very little insight into our performance over time. I am looking to report on team trends and improvement on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual basis. I assume we would need to create some kind of data log that we would reference in Power BI. Does anyone have any insight into how that may work? Our data comes from Micro Focus Service Manager.

Thank you.

Hi @connor502 ,

You could use visualizations to show your data changes over time( like clustered column chart, line chart and area chart etc. ).

Here is the ducument for your reference. You could find description of each official visual.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-report-visualizations

Then make time field as the x-axis and make value as y-axis to show the trend.

And you could use date hierarchy to show data for different time periods.
