Report Server - how to upgrade?

Hi, I installed the first "preview" version of Power BI Report server when it was released.

However, I've noticed there seems to be a new version now available - how do I upgrade? Can I install over the top or do I need to uninstall previous version first? 

Also, I've downloaded these from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=55329. Is this correct location to get the installs for us SQL Enterprise / Software assurance customers? Or is that just a trial version?

There didnt seem to be a blog post for the new version being released so how are we supposed to know each time a version is released?

Hi @Anonymous,

We can upgrade to Power BI report server GA version, but based on my test, during the upgrade, it doesn't have option for us to enter product key. See: Upgrade Power BI Report Server.

In your scenario, as you have product key, I would suggest you uninstall the preview version and install the GA Jun version. See: Quickstart: Install Power BI Report Server.
