Repointing Report to another dataset

Hello,

Previously I created a report which was working fine.

I deleted the source data and never used the Power BI file again.

I re-opened the report and re-pointed the Power BI project to the new file I put on the drive.

While refreshing it had various errors due to headers etc... but the file contains all the same fields and naming structure.

I went into the edit query and fixed all the errors. It was (is) looking good. When refreshing the report the report still creates errors at the report page and will not refresh. It's as if it's pointing to a wrong location or has not been updated.

I have saved and come back in etc. Nothing fixes this so far.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to allow me to refresh the report successfully?

Thanks

in power query, within your table, click on Advanced Editor in the "Query" section. You should see there the link to your file and amend accordingly.
