Replace Input Data (xls) in pbix file

Hi

We got a demo  PBIX file and now need replace demo data with real one, it's the same format,  however I see that in QEditor of demo this file pointed to original demo developer who was working on it and  it's  not avail in our environemnt (c:/user/demouser/Downloads/BI...).

Is it possible to keep project intact  but just to replace  input file with real data ?

I tried to replicate this demo with new file, but some table uses QEditors aggregated values and I can't go into this val, message said <not able to file this flie with original user path>

Thanks

Dai

Hi @dainova, on these screenshots, you'll find the required steps to change the source of your data:

1. Click on Edit Queries

2. Select the Query that you want to change

3. Click on Advanced Editor

4. Modify the path and filename to point to the new data source

5. Optionally, you can also change the name of the Sheet inside the file where your new data resides.
