Removing future dates from cumulative measure

Hi everyone, I am struggling to have a measure that removes the future date on my measure. Thanks in advance 😊

ronaldbalza2023_0-1657755109602.png

Measure that shows future dates

Total SalesYTD =
CALCULATE (
    [Total Sales],
    FILTER (
        ALL ( 'Date' ),
        'Date'[Financial Year] = MAX ( 'Date'[Financial Year] )
            && 'Date'[Date] <= MAX ( 'Date'[Date] )
    )
)

Supporting measures

Total Sales =
CALCULATE (
    [Invoiced Amount Time $],
    DATESYTD ( 'Invoice WIP Ledger Report'[Invoiced Date] )
)
Invoiced Amount Time $ =
CALCULATE (
    SUM ( 'Invoice WIP Ledger Report'[Invoiced Amount Time] ),
    USERELATIONSHIP ( 'Date'[Date], 'Invoice WIP Ledger Report'[Invoiced Date] )
)

Hi  @ronaldbalza2023 ,

I created a sample pbix file(see attachment) for you, please check whether that is what you want. You can update the formula of measure [Total Sales] as below:

Total Sales =
VAR _selyear =
    SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Date'[Date].[Year] )
VAR _selmonth =
    SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Date'[Date].[MonthNo] )
RETURN
    IF (
        _selyear > YEAR ( TODAY () ),
        BLANK (),
        CALCULATE (
            SUM ( 'Invoice WIP Ledger Report'[Invoiced Amount Time] ),
            FILTER (
                ALLSELECTED ( 'Invoice WIP Ledger Report' ),
                YEAR ( 'Invoice WIP Ledger Report'[Invoiced Date] ) = _selyear
                    && MONTH ( 'Invoice WIP Ledger Report'[Invoiced Date] ) <= _selmonth
                    && IF ( YEAR ( TODAY () ) = _selyear, _selmonth <= MONTH ( TODAY () ), 1 = 1 )
            )
        )
    )

If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. You can refer the following link to upload the file to the community. Thank you.

@ronaldbalza2023 , In all these required measures, add

'Date'[Date] <= today()

or
'Date'[Date] <= eomonth(today() ,0)

example

Total SalesYTD =
CALCULATE (
    [Total Sales],
    FILTER (
        ALL ( 'Date' ),
        'Date'[Financial Year] = MAX ( 'Date'[Financial Year] )
            && 'Date'[Date] <= MAX ( 'Date'[Date] )
    ), 'Date'[Date] <= today()
)

of add if

if(max('Date'[Date]) <= today() , blank(), [Measure])
