Hi,
I am using the Scroller visual and wish to present the name and date of the next event coming up. So, the visual should say, for example, "Book Holiday, 21/01/2020". I have merged two fields to give me the name and date in the same column, however when displaying in the visual, I only have Count (Distinct) and Count to choose from, which give me the output ""Book Holiday, 21/01/2020 1". Note the number 1 at the end, as it is counting.
With many of the tables I use, I also see a "No calculation" field, however not here. I've looked on this forum about this issue and have found comments saying the format of the data type needs changing in the Modelling tab, however I can only have it as text, else it throws up an error.
Am I missing something simple?
Many thanks for any help offered,
Rich
HI @RichJW,
AFAIK, some of the visuals/charts only support to use numeric value on value fields. If you use text value fields on it, they will be force aggregate with count mode.
I'd like to suggest you to use other visuals(e.g. table/matrix/card) who support 'not summarize' value or 'first/last' aggregate mode to display corresponding text value.

Hi @v-shex-msft
Thanks for the advice. That is a shame, as I wanted to use the scroller visual precisely for the scrolling effect and I don't believe any other visuals have that.
Not to worry, appreciate your help.
