Remove data connection but keep data like data table

I got my data from SQL database. When the report is ready to share with partner, I want to remove the data connection but keep data like data table. The concerns are,

  1. I don't want partner to click "refresh".
  2. I don't want partner to see my serve and database information.
  3. I may need to do some clean up in the query. I don't want partner see that.

Any idea?

Hi @jszlm ,

I think here you share the PBIX directly to others, right?

1. Even they can click the refresh button, credentials are required. So the users will get the error message as below.

sql1.PNG

2. To use localhost instead of server name. For the database name, no work around here.

3. Although they can see the step names in power query from APPLIED STEPS, but they can get nothing from that.
