Remove columns from Table (but keep in tool tip)

Hi there,

I'd like to remove two columns, Reference and Person, from my table as shown. But, I would like to retain the information in my tooltip. Is this possible?

Thank you, Michelle

Hi @michellepace

I'd suggest you to create a custom tooltip rather than using the one by default, and then put the Reference and Person field into the tooltip.

here's similar post for your reference: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/How-to-Hide-Coloum-in-Table-Visualizations-to-Make-ToolTip/...

I'll draw it up for you if you can provide the dummy pbix.

@michellepace

You can remove those two columns from the visual (Transactional Breakdown) by clicking the cross symbol in "Values"(Right Side).

But you can keep both columns in the tooltip.

If this post was helpful may I ask you to mark it as solution and give it some kudos?

Hello @venal  (or anyone else who may be able to help)

When I remove the Person column (as shown in (2) below) it is also removed from the tooltip. How do I get Person back into the tooltip (but not into the table)?xx.png

Please refer the below link.

If the issue is persists, please share the PBIX file to investigate more.
