Relationships introduce "ambiguity" - How can I chart values from these different tables.

I'm trying to chart actual versus planned spend on a chart like this:

Planned hours/spend are stored in one table while actual hours/spend are stored in another. Project data is stored in an independent table, and I have a calendar table that I can use (not all dates exist in either planned or actual tables).

I've tried joining the Planned and Actual tables to Projects on P_Number and the Planned and Actual tables to Calendar on Date. This seemed to make sense to me in order to show all figures on the same chart in proper chronology. But I get an error when I do so, saying that I'm introducing ambiguity:

Can someone help me figure out the proper relationships so that I can make these tables play nicely and build the chart above?

One more question where does the information for the line contract in your graph come from?

So just to confirm I understand you connected Calendar table date to both planned and actual hours date and then you connected projects p_number to both planned and actual p_number.

One thing to make sure that the calendar table is not connected to the project table and that each relationship is a one way from dimensional table to each the budget and actual.

That should work
