Relationships Question in Modeling - Please Help

Probably a basic question but still a newb...

I have a date table connected to two datasets.  I don't understand why one is a solid line, the other is "dotted".  Please help me understand if there is an impact that I should understand.

Thanks!

@irnm8dn,

The dotted line means that the relationship is inactive, which can happen for a variety of reasons. It's often due to circular dependencies.

You can right-click the line and set it to active, or double-click to view more details about the relationship and change things from there.

If you attempt to activate the relationship and you get an error, it should help explain what's causing the problem.
