E. A related table, then can i expand a single table and use it as single data set instead of loading all related table and modeling them locally in power bi... Plz help

Your ask is not clear.

If you don't want to model in power BI, create a single table with SQL and use that in Advanced options while connecting to SQL server.

Hi.. Thanks for the reply, but i want to understand what these relationship columns hold in them, they are expanding into a full table, the related table.

Hi @Anonymous ,

>>but i want to understand what these relationship columns hold in them, they are expanding into a full table, the related table.

For further analysis, could you please show us what the relationship columns look like in screenshot?

Best Regards,

Amy

Not Sure I got it completely.

But just like SQL/database. Power BI will have its own internal data model. If you take in Fact and Dimensions, you need to create a relation between them. Now relations are uni or bi directional.  This will decide the behavior of joins.

Typically, when you select a column from a dim and fact the power BI will return a result based on those two datasets.
