Related Dimension Filtering where multiple Fact Tables are Actively Related

I have a scenario I'm not quite sure how to deal with. I think a measure of a dimension to indicate whether or not it has rows in each fact table that would be based on the current filter context of the fact table suffice.

Let's say I have dimensions DImA and DimB that are each related in a one way relationship to Fact and Fact2.

Let's say I want to use a Matrix that uses as it's only Row property DimA.Name and it's only Value property DimB.Name and I only want to see DimB.Name that are related to DimA thought the relationship to DimB through Fact1.

I do not want to duplicate the dimensions as separate calculated tables for each Fact table.

So, I was thinking that I could put two measure on each related dimension to determine whether a row has any related rows in the current filter context of each of the fact tables, but I'm not sure if this will work because of neeting to filter by measure in the properties of the matrix.

Your thoughts?
